Title: SAP IPM Functional Consultant with Tax Engine Configuration Experience
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP IPM (Intellectual Property Management) Functional Consultant with expertise in Tax Engine Configuration to join our dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing and configuring SAP IPM solutions tailored to meet our client's needs, with a focus on integrating tax engine functionalities.
• This role requires a deep understanding of intellectual property management processes, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of SAP IPM modules and tax engine configuration techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and design SAP IPM solutions aligned with their intellectual property management processes. Configure SAP IPM modules to meet specific client needs, including tax engine integration.
• Lead the configuration and integration of tax engines within the SAP IPM environment. Ensure seamless integration between SAP IPM and external tax engines, leveraging best practices and customizations to optimize tax management processes.
• Analyze existing intellectual property management processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and accuracy. Implement process enhancements through SAP IPM configuration and customization, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios to validate SAP IPM configurations and tax engine integrations. Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability, reliability, and accuracy of the implemented solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users and project team members on SAP IPM functionalities, tax engine configuration, and best practices. Act as a subject matter expert and provide ongoing support to resolve issues and optimize system performance post-implementation.
• Create detailed documentation including functional specifications, configuration guides, test plans, and training materials. Generate regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, project team members, and stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration. Proactively identify and address issues, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP IPM implementation and configuration, with a focus on tax engine integration.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP IPM modules, including but not limited to IP document management, royalty calculation, licensing, and contract management.
• Proven experience in configuring and integrating tax engines such as Vertex, Avalara, or similar solutions within SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property management processes, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
• Hands-on experience with SAP configuration tools and methodologies, including SAP Solution Manager, SAP Activate, and SAP Fiori.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into practical SAP IPM solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, project team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• SAP certification in relevant modules or areas of expertise is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a consulting environment, delivering SAP IPM solutions to diverse clients across various industries.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements related to intellectual property management.
• Familiarity with SAP integration technologies such as SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), or SAP Data Services.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori applications for enhanced user experience and mobility.
