Posting Summary
.This position is eligible for 100% remote work.
As an active member of the Sponsored Project Administration (SPA) grant lifecycle team and a subject matter expert, the financial analyst administers a portfolio of sponsored projects in compliance with applicable award and sponsor-specific guidelines, federal regulations, and University policies and procedures. Prepares and ensures timely and accurate submission of financial reports for sponsored projects. Evaluates post-award activities and issues, investigator, unit-level, and sponsor questions, analyzes and applies the most appropriate Federal, sponsor and/or University policy, and provides appropriate guidance to SPA’s customers and constituents. Develops and provides outreach and education about policy interpretation, cost share, award-specific, or PeopleSoft functionality.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in specialized field and two to three years of related experience required. Experience with financial reporting and analysis, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and effective organizational and communication skills required. Experience with customer service, interpreting and communicating Federal policy, and with Enterprise Resource Planning (e.g. PeopleSoft) systems preferred.
