Your Role...

The Retail Facilities Manager reports to the Director of Store Development and is responsible for ensuring the timely repairs and maintenance of retail facilities. Occasional travel is required.

Major Position Responsibilities:

• Manage Facilities Service Platform and Service Providers for the fleet.
• Manage Service Contracts with National and Local Providers for trades including HVAC, Music, Fire Protection and General Maintenance.
• Manage the Equipment List for the fleet including HVAC and Vertical Transportation.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained through an established preventative maintenance project.
• Manage the Capital and Expense Budget for all Repairs and Maintenance and seek opportunities for cost savings or cost avoidance by such methods of innovation, education, preventative maintenance and/or equipment/process improvement.
• Review Scope of Work and Proposals for all scheduled and on-demand repairs with Vendors.
• Manage the Security Systems Vendors and Platforms for all existing and new Stores.
• Manage the Music Vendor for all existing and new Stores.
• Manage the Security Vendor for all security needs both for existing Stores, new Stores and Projects.
• Manage or partner with Store Development on rollouts, programs or projects including LED retrofit, fixture move or signage programs.
• Responsible for all communication to Field Management and Store Teams regarding scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Excel in customer service including understanding the customer needs, communicating with the customer and by creating a customer centric culture.
• Assist in coordinating outside services that are necessary to complete Store Development Projects.
• Act as a liaison between Store Development and internal departments associated with the Retail Business.
• Uphold the standards and integrity of Blick art materials in all facets of on-site work and interactions with others.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience as Construction/Repair & Maintenance/Facilities Manager in the retail/restaurant/hospitality industry
• Ability to prioritize tasks in order to maximize efficiency and meet established deadlines
• Self-directed and able to work well independently with strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances and directives
• Able to complete tasks quickly and accurately under stressful situations
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with numerous departments
• Proficient in MS Office Suites including formula driven reporting and current industry technology
• Flexibility in schedule to meet deadlines which may include weekend work or extended hours
