Overview

Subject matter expert to provide support and service for all technical aspects of the Climbing (Ladders) product line. Support all facets of field technical service to customers, sales, training and customer care. Contribute to the development and maintenance of all technical service documents and communication to users through print and online. Develop networks within WernerCo and the customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Applies technical skills to provide support and services to one or more of the following: new product development, engineering, product application, quality management, life cycle management, technical service, manufacturing, commercial marketing and customer care.
  • Develops and establishes a network of resources to facilitate completion of assignments.
  • Provides support on products and applications to customers to expand opportunities and reduce risks.
  • Interact with the WernerCo sales force to capitalize on customer opportunities.
  • Understands customer relations to clearly communicate the value of new/unique/differentiating features of Werner Climbing products and services.
  • Support trainings to customers and/or business teams.
  • Analyzes and interprets results of technical work.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and other written documents.
  • Communicates relevant findings to external parties or customers as appropriate.
  • Participates in recommended educational and training opportunities to further develop technical competence.
  • Participate in areas such as cost reduction workshops and quality improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Experience & Education:Required:

  • 2-5 years of industry experience with increasing responsibilities in business administration, sales, training and project management.
  • Skills and knowledge of multiple software and business data systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in safety and occupational health applied science or equivalent
  • Awareness of climbing/ladder industry standards and occupational safety and health policies and procedures

Special Requirements

  • Willingness to travel as required, estimated 10% of the time
  • Continually update and maintain technical skills required to stay current in safety and climbing products

Work Location: Hybrid remote in either Itasca, IL, West Middlesex, PA, Mooresville, NC, or Austin, TX.
