Endologix is Hiring a Remote Sr. Manager, Clinical Marketing & Professional Relations

Overview

Endologix is a privately held global medical device company providing disruptive therapies for the interventional treatment of vascular disease. We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Clinical Marketing leader as we build out this critical function. In this role, you'll help shape Endologix's presence by developing customer engagement strategies and maximizing advocacy with key stakeholders, particularly in vascular surgery and interventional cardiology.

You'll work closely with key healthcare influencers across local, regional, national, and international levels to build and nurture commercial relationships with external experts through effective targeting, direct contact, and networking at relevant events. This individual contributor role requires close cross-collaboration with key departments to execute marketing strategies, educational programs, and conference strategies effectively.

We're seeking someone who can be both strategic and tactically flexible to maximize engagement with all key stakeholders through structured plans and tactics.

Responsibilities

  • KOL Management & Speakers' Bureau Development:

    • Develop effective working relationships and capture feedback and guidance from industry thought leaders, and broader healthcare providers (vascular surgeons, ICs and IRs) to help drive and elevate Endologix visibility and influence.
    • Identifies, develops, and maintains relationships with established and emerging KOLs across the EVAR and peripheral vascular industry, ensuring alignment with commercial sales and marketing teams to build robust and influential networks.
    • Monitors KOL communications for Endologix presence at major medical meetings.
    • Manage and develop KOL relationships through regular follow-ups and communication. Engage them strategically via contractual partnerships for advisory board, speaking, and podium opportunities to drive awareness of Endologix therapies and products.
    • Serve as the conduit between KOLs, advisory board members, and internal cross-functional departments to ensure seamless communication and partnership.

    Physician Educational Programs:

    • Plan and execute national and regional educational programs for healthcare professionals, improving advocacy and visibility. At the local level, collaborate with the product marketing team and sales managers to align speakers and content with overall product educational strategies.
    • Develop and implement speaker events to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience that effectively communicates Endologix's value. End to end includes ensuring follow-up processes and healthcare professional engagement (invitation, honorarium payment, follow-up) leveraging key marketing personnel that support honorarium payments and meeting logistics.
    • Execute peer-to-peer educational programs such as webinars, hospital programs, conference symposia, and virtual/live roundtables.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate programs that increase awareness, education, and adoption of Endologix products and therapies.

    Medical Meetings and Executive Leadership:

    • Responsible for quarterbacking Endologix corporate presence at medical meetings to ensure quality customer interactions and ensure Endologix’s presence aligns with corporate and brand strategies.
    • Attends regional, and national medical meetings, engaging key thought leaders, and setting up meetings with the Endologix executive leadership team.
    • Coordinates and negotiates with industry meeting organizers to secure presentation opportunities.
    • Stays abreast of the latest trends in the therapeutic area via symposia, podium presentations, and other communications. Proactively monitors agenda and content for upcoming medical meetings to identify opportunities for podium visibility or 1:1 interaction with key faculty. Identifies key sessions of interest and partners with clinical affairs and product marketing teams to take session notes and distribute to rest of organization.

    Marketing and Sales Partnership:

    • Serve as a liaison between marketing and sales to lead customer engagement activities including regional dinner programs, events, clinical content and promotional symposia.
    • Works with product marketing team to prepare clinical whitepapers, case studies and other relevant materials.
    • Liaises with sales teams to identify and pursue relationships with key customers and high-profile prospects.
    • Initiates and develops opportunities to involve Endologix in meaningful programs with key accounts to ensure that Endologix is strategically and strongly positioned.

    Competitive and Clinical Intelligence:

    • Collaborate with Clinical Affairs and Product Marketing team to communicate publication alerts and key clinical data that enhance clinical knowledge among sales teams.
    • Monitor information from KOLs, including insights from medical and scientific literature, meetings, symposia, and seminars.
    • Provide internal thought leadership on key industry trends, competitive intelligence, and published clinical data.

    Travel up to 60% required and position location may be remote, hybrid preferred. Must travel to corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA twice a quarter if remote.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills with demonstrated track record of building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail oriented, organized, with strong time management skills.
  • Flexibility & ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and succeed in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to collaborate well with internal peers.
  • Responds positively to direction and constructive criticism.
  • Takes initiative in planning a timely course to project completion.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Life science discipline is preferable, but not required.

Experience:

  • Must have minimum of 6 -10 years of experience working in a matrixed healthcare/medical device/biotech organization with demonstrated track record of success in building and maintaining positive, productive KOL relationships.
  • Experience with abstracts and manuscript submissions to major meetings and journals required.
  • Peripheral vascular or cardiovascular device experience desirable.
  • Prior clinical experience in OR or cath lab desirable.

Compensation: $135,000 to $180,000 annual salary depending on experience. Discretionary bonus and equity potential.
