About the role: The Controller will serve as a business partner to the plant manager and will assist in the development and implementation of the strategic direction/strategies. You will ensure that all required financial statements, reports, and local, state, and Federal inquiries are prepared in a timely and accurate manner according to corporate policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations and laws. This role is also responsible for the accurate planning, forecasting, and budgeting. Manage development of annual Operating Plan, forecasts and variance analysis for the location. Maintain financial controls to ensure the location meets Alcoa audit/ASAT/SOX requirements. Provide accurate and timely reporting/forecasting/planning . Manage communication and analysis of financial reporting to Massena lead team and find opportunities for cost reduction and sharing of best practices. Lead development of tools/reports to facilitate operations to meet the financial plan. Lead location efforts to manage working capital while maintaining location stability. Ensures adherence to code of conduct and corporate policy. Builds an environment where systems are used to accurately plan, forecast, and deliver according to expectations. What you can bring to this role: 8 years detailed, hands on accounting experience in a corporate setting Bachelors degree in accounting (or business related major (e.g., finance) with significant accounting coursework/minor and meaningful experience) Strong analytical skills (financial and problem-solving), attention to detail and the ability to deliver credible advice to all levels of the organization; Theory and practice of financial accounting/bookkeeping, corporate accounting, including inter company consolidations and eliminations Excellent digital literacy, including accounting programs (SAP, Oracle, etc.), MS Office, Smart View, ThinkCell, etc. What we offer: Competitive compensation packages, including pay-for performance variable pay, recognition and rewards programs, and stock-based compensation awards (3-year vesting schedule) Flexible spending accounts and generous employer contribution to the HSA 401(k), employer match up to 6%, additional employer retirement income contribution (no vesting period), and a nonqualified deferred compensation plan Holiday Pay: 10 holidays. 8 hours of Paid annual volunteer hours Alcoa has been chosen as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023 by Newsweek #LI-PW1 Base salary: $113,500 - $156,500 USD annually Total rewards packages listed, including base salary and bonus eligibility, applies to US based applicants only.
