Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and enrich the lives of our residents through engaging and stimulating activities. If you have a passion for assisting seniors and creating a vibrant environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities for residents in assisted living or nursing home settings
- Assist in implementing programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and social needs of seniors
- Provide support in coordinating events, outings, and group activities
- Engage residents in activities that promote cognitive function and overall well-being
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities align with individual care plans
- Maintain documentation of resident participation and progress

Experience:

- Experience working in assisted living or senior care facilities preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and techniques
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Understanding of aging issues and the ability to provide counseling when needed
- Familiarity with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and their importance in senior care
- Background in event planning for diverse groups of individuals
