Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled, and dedicated EFDA to join our team. As an EFDA, you will work closely with the dentist to provide exceptional patient care. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, taking patient X-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed

- Take and develop patient X-rays as directed by the dentist

- Perform basic dental procedures such as applying sealants or fluoride treatments under the supervision of the dentist

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative instructions

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

- Follow proper aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment

- Monitor and record vital signs of patients during procedures

- Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient flow

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a EFDA program preferred

- Current certification as an EFDA

- Knowledge of medical imaging systems and ability to take accurate patient X-rays

- Familiarity with CAD software for designing dental restorations is a plus

- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members

- Ability to perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of a dentist

- Proficiency in medical documentation and maintaining accurate patient records

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
