We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. This individual will be working in our Plymouth location Monday and Tuesday 9-5 and Wednesday-Friday 10-5 at our new Middleboro location.

Training will take place in our Plymouth location and then you will be leading the way at our new Middleboro location in the next couple of months.

You must be willing to listen to clients and help them not only find the look for them, but achieve the best vision we can.

Our Middleboro location is set downtown and will feature telemed exam services. We are currently remodeling an old Bennys store into our new home! You will be next to another new business as well as restaurants, coffee shops, and other retail locations. There will be some preexisting clients that currently shop the Plymouth location but the right candidate will take pride in growing the business and treat it as if it is their own.

As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their eyewear needs and ensuring their satisfaction. If you have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the optical industry, we would love to hear from you.

• Duties:

- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, frames, and lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, coatings, and treatments
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
- Collaborate with optometrists and tech to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment

• -Assist the tech as needed with telemed services. Occassionally take the place of the tech (training provided) when there is a call out or vacation.
• -Be comfortable ordering product from frame vendors and making the correct choices for the clientele.
• -Be willing to develop the store and grow the customer base.
• Experience

- Previous experience as an Optician or in the optical industry is required along with a license.
- Strong knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, coatings, and treatments
- Familiarity with medical records systems such as Uprise is a plus
- Experience working in a laboratory is a plus but happy to teach
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for handling contact lenses is desirable

• -Previous knowledge of contact lenses is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $29.01 - $30.82 per hour
