Job description

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and energetic individual to handle the daily accounting tasks that are assigned. The positions require a complete knowledge of automobile accounting, which is not the same as standard accounting. The position requires a detail-oriented person that can work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of ADP/CDK is required. The position is responsible for keeping timely and accurate records. The ideal candidate must have excellent people and communication skills and able to multitask. The schedule is based on a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities:

• Examines retail sales contracts to assure conformity to specified requirements
• Verifies all documents are signed and completed properly
• Process all paperwork from retail sales in accordance with lender and company guidelines.
• Ensure all vehicle retail sales have appropriate documentation and that it is accurately completed. Notify the appropriate personnel promptly if deal is missing paperwork or required documents.
• Maintains customer satisfaction at or above company standards
• Processes paperwork on a timely basis
• Post new and pre-owned deals to accounting books
• Issue checks for lien payoffs and submit to financial institutions
• Reconcile schedules
• Maintains sales logs, gross profit/loss information and reports.
• Audit information to ensure accurate and compliant inventory schedules and GL schedules.
• Research and resolve any discrepancies or problems with the billing process.
• Communicate frequently via phone/email with sales management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as billing clerk
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel & Word)
• Ability to handle responsibilities independently, with minimum supervision.
• Good organizational skills
• Must be dependable
• Strong attention to detail
• Understand deadlines and be able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks
• Strong analytical skills
• Must have flexibility with schedule during month end
• Professional Appearance and Effective Communication Skills
