About the Role

Engage is now hiring a passionate and patient-focused Occupational Therapist at our partner Assisted Living Facility in Groton, MA. In this role, you will determine appropriate occupational therapy care and treatment for a geriatric population at a wide range of functional levels.

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling available.

Your Typical Day

  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists. Review patients' functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Design and implement plans of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development; Plans will include but are not limited to manual therapy, aquatic therapy, neuromuscular training, modalities and functional rehabilitation.
  • Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs; Promote patient's healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes·
  • Document patient care services via EMR
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Provide direction and leadership to staff as required and act as a resource to promote occupational therapy in the community

About You

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
  • Active or pending state license to practice occupational therapy
  • Experience or interest in a geriatric occupational therapy setting
  • Passion for delivering quality, evidence-based patient care
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and interact positively with a diverse patient population of all ages
  • Drive to continually learn and grow
