These Soldiers fill the literal boots on the ground who are responsible for taking or holding ground during any combat operation. You’ll attack, repel, and capture enemy ground forces using advanced weapons and tactics.Compensation$20,000 signing bonus for specific jobs (for those that qualify)Monthly payPaid trainingRetirement planMedical/Life insurancePromotion scaleMilitary discountsEducation Benefits100% Tuition Assistance for public colleges in OregonStudent Loan RepaymentOther tuition options for colleges, trade schools & certificationsJob Duties• Assist in reconnaissance operations• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights• Operate and maintain communications equipment• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions• Process prisoners of war and captured documents• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.)QualificationsMilitary enlistment in the Oregon Army National GuardMust be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificateMust be between the ages of 17 and 34Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standardsMust meet citizenship requirementsJob training for an Infantryman requires 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training.
