A primary purpose of thisposition is to plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct the facility infectionprevention and control program and its activities in accordance with currentfederal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern suchprograms and as directed by the Administrator and the Infection Prevention and ControlCommittee. Also, a purpose of this position is to ensure adequate andappropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs ofthe residents based on budget, census, and a s directed by facility administration.
