The Civi Group has partnered with a reputable mechanical contractor based in South Boston, known for their extensive services in commercial HVAC and plumbing. They are currently looking for an Estimator to join their team for medium to large scale construction projects.

This Estimator will be tasked with preparing precise cost estimates for plumbing systems within medium to large construction projects. They will evaluate project documentation to determine the necessary materials, labor, and time for project completion.

Additionally, they will work closely with the project management team to provide crucial information that aids in making informed decisions regarding project costs and timelines.

Job Title: Estimator (Plumbing Specialist)

Compensation:

Salary: Up to approximately $110K based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for plumbing systems.
• Analyze project blueprints and technical documents to determine material, labor, and time requirements accurately.
• Collaborate with project management teams to deliver essential cost information and risk assessments for project planning and decision-making.
• Ensure that all estimates are precise and competitive, reflecting client needs and market conditions.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and contract terms.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to fully understand the project scope and requirements.
• Work with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure all specifications and regulations are met.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of previous projects and bids to enhance cost models and efficiency.

Skills & Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in construction estimating, with a specific focus on plumbing systems.
• Strong familiarity with plumbing and related building codes and standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., QuickPen) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Drivers License for site visits and client meetings.
