Job Description : Maintenance Technician

• Perform repairs and / or cleaning as assigned.
• Operate heating and / or cooling systems and assist with repairs.
• Basic plumbing and pipe fitting.
• Basic carpentry work.
• Assist in moving and setting of machinery and equipment.
• Assist in painting of building or equipment.
• Assist in glazing, caulking, cement, sheet metal work, and roof repairs.
• Keep the Preventative Maintenance records current on all equipment under Maintenance III jurisdiction.
• Other duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
• 5 years related maintenance experience and / or training.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple 1-2 step instructions.
• Have a general knowledge of most of the building trades
