The Office Manager Is responsible for efficient operation of the church office. The Office Manager must maintain a professional relationship with the church staff, leaders and congregation and be able to work autonomously. Information acquired through the duties of this position which may be personal in nature must be kept in strict confidence.
Responsibilities Include:
· Assist the Pastor as needed.
· Answer phone and handle incoming voice messages, email, and postal mail and forward messages to appropriate parties.
· Greet and assist visitors to office.
· Deposit incoming monies.
· Utilize Church Windows software to track contributions and generate reports.
· Pay approved invoices.
· Process payroll including submission of withholdings and W2s.
· Submit UMC District payments (apportionments and Clergy heath/pension).
· Maintain office checkbook, files, and records (including required record retention).
· Ensure office equipment is in working order and oversee maintenance.
· Order office supplies as needed.
· Track and prepare detailed monthly report of expenses and income sources for Treasurer/Finance Committee.
· Coordinate church calendar and requests for use of facility.
· Track in-person church service attendance.
Core Competencies:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-including Word and Excel including creating/maintaining reports.
Ability to utilize other computer desktop applications after appropriate training.
Basic computer troubleshooting skills.
Payroll processing knowledge.
Church knowledge or previous experience in a church office position.
Good time management and organization skills.
Demonstrates flexibility and is open to change.
Works well with others and is open to constructive criticism.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
