Job Description
The purpose of a Driver Manager is to provide efficient and effective management of a fleet of drivers, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations. The role involves ensuring the drivers are appropriately trained and qualified, providing support and guidance to ensure they are working safely and efficiently, and to ensure the fleet meets its operational objective.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure that all drivers are fully compliant with legal requirements.
- Monitor driver performance and conduct.
- Maintain records of driver logs.
- Lead the selection and induction of drivers.
- Act as a first point of contact.
KEY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; College degree preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
- Experience working in a deadline driven environment preferred.
