Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Admissions Coordinator. As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our admissions process. This position requires knowledge of medical as well as experience with various software systems.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and manage the admissions process for new patients

- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details

- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and referring providers

- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient information

- Assist with medical scheduling, including coordinating with other departments or specialists as needed

- Manage medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Experience:

- Previous experience in a medical setting is required

- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred

- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling high call volumes

- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
