Family Office Exchange is Hiring a Director, Wealth Management Research, Insights, and Knowledge Near Chicago, IL

Family Office Exchange ("FOX") is the industry-leading membership organization servicing multi-generational families, family office executives, and trusted advisors.
Position Summary :
In this hybrid role working out of the FOX location in Chicago, the Director, Wealth Management Research, Insights, and Knowledge role is responsible for capturing, creating, and sharing industry knowledge related to our membership and the wealth management industry we support.
With a day-to-day focus on transforming data and information into thought leadership, this role will partner and collaborate with FOX colleagues to ensure the firm's expertise enhances existing member relationships and attract new ones. Additionally, this role is responsible for the ideation, development of insights and knowledge from a thought leadership perspective that will engage and exceed our member's expectations.
This role will be the research primary go-to for the company, speaking articulately in face-to-face meetings with FOX members and staff, as well as preparing others in the firm to present at industry conferences and member meetings.
Responsibilities :
  • Manage and lead the development and implementation of FOX's longitudinal studies, including benchmarking surveys, to further FOX's role as an industry thought leader.
  • Full-life cycle survey responsibilities include:
    • Design responsibilities include developing questions, editing/re-working existing questions, collaborating with stakeholders to finalize survey drafts and project management.
    • Implementation responsibilities include ensuring programming of the survey is correct, determining appropriate sample size and monitoring response rates.
    • Analysis will include but not limited to organizing and cleaning data, trend and theme identification and pulling in data from other studies as needed.
  • Identify industry trends and recommendations for future research projects, webinars, learning modules, and presentations.
  • Identify trends; assist in the writing of white papers, blogs, and research reports; and present research at member meetings,
  • Partner with FOX team members to share knowledge and present insights that reinforce our position as a thought leader.
  • Manage annual FOX research methods to ensure quality and accuracy of data and results at every stage of the research process.
  • Establish research partnerships with firms whose vision and mission align with FOX and its thought leadership goals.
  • Partner with senior management to explore new possibilities, products, and projects that move the industry forward.
  • Ideates, develops, implements, and manages knowledge related products and/or services that generate revenue for the company related to research, surveys and industry benchmarking.
  • Leads and/or participates in the development of proprietary content (such as benchmarking reports, executive summaries, presentations) in support of a knowledge centered business model.
  • Recommends best practices in quantitative and qualitative research methodology to ensure the highest quality research and content development.
  • Engages FOX Subject Matter Experts ("SMEs") to actively participate in the entire life cycle of the research project, including working closely with these SMEs when developing and drafting insights, trends and content that will engage our members and external audience.
  • Create content such as white papers, articles, guides, blogs, and presentation slides.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years, progressively, to include increasing responsibilities in the areas of managing research and/or content development, preferably in the private wealth industry.
  • Experience creating and running hypothesis-led studies.
  • Demonstrated public-facing writing capabilities.
  • Proven success simultaneously managing multiple projects of various complexities.
  • Extensive knowledge of research methodologies and understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge and experience with Qualtrics, Database and Content Management systems and Internet research experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow standard research methodologies using complex quantitative and qualitative analysis tools such as SPSS.
