Job Title: Empowerment Coach

Location: Allentown, Reading, Lancaster, Pottstown, Coatesville, and Harrisburg, PA

Job Summary:

The Empowerment Coach will work directly with I-LEAD INC. “ACE program “Achieve College Education” in helping future Harcum College graduates through the application, enrollment, financial aid, and retention process. This role requires an individual who is passionate about education and changing lives, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will work closely with I-LEAD and Harcum College to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.

Responsibilities:

• Establish a referral base, market referral sources, and network to increase program visibility.• Market the program and recruit qualified students by making phone calls to potential students and setting appointments.• Attend community events, job fairs, college fairs, festivals, and other events to promote the program.• Assist students with the application, enrollment, financial aid, and retention process for Harcum College• Use basic to intermediate computer skills, including Google and social media, to communicate with students and leadership.• Work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.• Demonstrate problem-solving skills, outcomes-focused thinking, and the ability to multitask.• Share I-LEAD’s core values and support the organization’s mission and vision.• Possess strong interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by compassionate, courteous, cordial, cooperative, and professional interaction with diverse groups of co-workers, students, and the community.• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in business, human services, communications, or a related• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written• Experience in higher education is optimal. Self-starter, able to operate with minimal supervision in a highly active atmosphere.• The ability to lead and provide a motivating environment.

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
