Hawaii Business Magazine is looking for a new Creative Director, the head of a two-person creative team that conceives and builds our designs in print and digital media.
We value excellent and inventive layouts, photography, illustrations, typography, logos and other creations that attract readers’ attention and keep them engaged with our stories and ads. For their first-rate work, our designers have won dozens of national and statewide awards in recent years.
The successful applicant will join an innovative and collaborative team at Hawaii Business that has earned respect in the community for its coverage of important local issues like housing, small businesses, the environment, diversity, tourism and leadership.
In addition to being creative, the new Creative Director must be well-organized, solution-oriented, self-directed and able to manage their time and budget, finish tasks on schedule, supervise another designer and work with freelancers.

The Creative Director will report to Steve Petranik, Editor and Executive Publisher of Hawaii Business Magazine.
