The QC Bacteriology Technician I will ensure in-process materials and final product are tested in a manner consistent with Standard Operating Procedures and in compliance with regulations according to 9CFR.

·Conduct sterility, purity, potency, and extraneous testing for in-process materials and final product

·Perform gram staining and further bacterial identification when required

·Performed tasks using aseptic technique

·Report any Out of Specification results

·Routine lab maintenance and cleaning

·Assure QC records are accurate, compliant, and capture critical data

·Shape solutions out of complexity - Work to evolve immediate environment

·Client focus - Make sure needs and requests are treated equally and in a positive way

·Collaborate with empathy - Fully takes part in the working group to share information, listens to others and have a clear idea of the decisions taken

·Engage and develop - Open to share knowledge and to receive feedback from others

·Drive ambition and accountability - Ensure accuracy of work the use of KPI's and a responsible commitment

·Basic knowledge of Microbiology

·Must have great aseptic technique

·Must work well with a team

·Basic skills with databases and word processing programs

Education - Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Veterinary Science or equivalent

Work Experience – Prefer 1 year in Quality Control or relevant lab experience

·Ability to perform repetitive motions

·Standing for extended periods of time

·Must be able to read, write legible and understand English

·Visual inspection

·Handling hazardous materials or other chemicals if necessary
