Material Demand Planner

Norstar International, a rapidly growing company in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Material Demand Planner to join the Operational Team.

As a Material Demand Planner you will lead the supply chain demand planning and forecasting process for a group of strategic business units.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the monthly demand validation process utilizing Netsuite Demand Planning functionality, generating forecasts, generating and tracking forecast accuracy and inventory metrics, as well as facilitating demand validation meetings with different functional groups like Manufacturing, Product Management, and Sales, to support the individual business processes.
• Analyze manufacturing build plan against inventory and supply chain data to determine demand for material replenishment.
• Manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive ahead of requirement date.
• Track and mitigate Excess and Obsolescence.
• Identify and implement process improvement and optimization in Demand Planning processes and generating various reports and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure demand for materials is met.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and submit Purchase Orders.
• Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
• Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
• Consolidate the demand from multiple sources and own the MPS (Master Production Schedule).
• Communicating effectively across the business, serve as the primary point of contact regarding all demand related inquiries for areas of responsibility. Additionally, you will manage a proactive business communication process that ensures visibility and transparency amongst all key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Have 5-7 years work experience in a supply chain planning or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Have knowledge and experience using software tools, including Oracle Netsuite or similar ERP/MRP system, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams.
• Have excellent analytical and conflict resolution skills, and ability to interface with multiple stakeholders and levels of organizational management.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
