Sales Associate at Honey Hill Market, a local woman owned vintage clothing and home goods shop located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Austin. Looking to hire a part-time candidate that will work 2 days during the week and one weekend day. Our current hours are 11-6pm You will work independently 90% of the time so you must be comfortable and a highly motivated self starter to excel in this role.

Overview of Role:

• Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection and understands the importance of build lasting relationships through personalized service, product recommendations, and connecting with the customer in an authentic way.
• Fosters a culture of communication and is customer service driven to ensure a balance between serving clients, operational tasks, and visual needs; stays current and responds to interoffice communication while ensuring important store information reaches all levels of the team
• Oversees and contributes to upholding daily tasks, reaching sales goals, and delivering the best customer experience to each and every customer.

Responsibilities:

-The Sales Associate will lead and drive sales by taking an Omni channel approach to the retail experience. including social media, online store, and brick and mortar.

-Comfortable with photography, posting to social media, taking photos of merchandise, and styling vintage pieces along with merchandising the store.

Understands the brand's mission, aesthetic, and enjoys working in a design forward environment.

-Associate's goal is to deliver an environment that is engaging and inspiring to the customer, customer experience and retail sales experience required

Continuously drives a strong brand, customer and store connection

Exhibits strong decision-making and multi-tasking capabilities

Strong written communication and ability to self motivate and is confident working independently

-Ability to analyze business opportunities within product placement, merchandising, and stock levels; takes initiative to network with local community to have a pulse on fashion and social media trends for social & event ideas to drive community connection and sales

Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

-Proactive in setting goals and delivering feedback for the store's growth

-Provides store and industry insight related to the customer experience and communicates feedback to manger/owner.

Qualifications:

- Love and knowledge of vintage clothing and homewares preferred
- Strong technical sales skills with the ability to problem solve and work independently
- Excellent customer service skills and sales background (2 years)
- Proven ability to sell and style customers of various backgrounds, styles, sizes, etc.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with Shopify a plus
