The Position:
A leading Texas, PI firm, headquartered in Austin is expanding. Success, demand, and expansion are creating an opportunity for a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join a top-notch, highly regarded, and growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attending trials, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and other court appearances.
Preparing pleadings and motions, drafting discovery, mediation briefs, and trial briefs.
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines while multi-tasking and working in a fast-moving litigation environment is necessary.
Settle and negotiate personal injury cases.
Keep clients fully informed by communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential client service.
Accurately value and develop cases.
Document files with notes and records using.
Provide clients with an accurate accounting of their settlements.
Excellent organizational skills and time management is a must.
Be able to work well with legal assistants.
Have ownership and a strong knowledge of a portfolio.
Prosecute cases in a timely manner.
Return client calls.
Remain current on federal and state laws, regulations, and practices affecting firm business.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
An active Texas Bar License.
Experience in Personal Injury.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed attorney in any jurisdiction is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
$110,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience.
Eligibility for performance bonuses based on goal-meeting and success
