The School of Saint Elizabeth, a private Catholic school located in Bernardsville, New Jersey, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time School Counselor to join our vibrant educational community. The School Counselor at the School of Saint Elizabeth plays a vital role in supporting the holistic development of our students. The School Counselor provides classroom, small-group, and individual counseling sessions, promotes social-emotional learning, and collaborates with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive environment conducive to academic success, faith formation, and student personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify and address students' academic and behavioral concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to students in times of need.
• Coordinate and facilitate classroom lessons on topics related to mental health, bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and other relevant issues.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including counseling notes and progress reports.
• Stay informed regarding best practices and current trends in school counseling and education.
• Participate in professional development activities and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

• State certification or licensure as a School Counselor
• Previous experience working as a school counselor preferred.
• Knowledge of counseling strategies and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

• 4 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
