Industry leading Biotechnology Company is actively seeking a shipping/receiving associate to join our growing company.

The primary objective for this position is to work as part of the shipping/receiving team to check in all incoming packages using company database and to ensure all outgoing packages are packed correctly and accurately daily.

Specific responsibilities associated with this position include:

• Receive incoming shipment of biological materials in ERP system.
• Receive in supplies for the lab and future orders and notify appropriate personnel.
• Check that incoming shipments match with expected shipments
• Organize biological materials in appropriate freezers and refrigerators, so other team members can find them.
• Label outgoing biological materials with correct labels and secure them for future shipping.
• Package materials according to all IATA Packaging Instructions
• Label outgoing packages with correct labels in compliance with DOT/IATA specifications
• Package secured biological materials with either dry ice or cold packs according to SOPs.
• Review outgoing orders and report any quality issues to the manager of appropriate department.
• Constantly check and take note of shipping department inventory.
• Keep warehouse neatly organized and clean at all times.
• Participate in labeling projects as necessary.
• Complete local deliveries as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have great organization and analytical skills.
• Must be comfortable working with biological materials.
• Must have great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Must be a creative and positive individual.
• Hours of work will be decided upon interview.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
