Duties:

• Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide medication counseling

• Review and interpret prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use

• Monitor patient medication therapy for potential drug interactions or adverse effects

• Provide pharmaceutical care, including medication therapy management and patient education

• Maintain accurate and complete patient medication records

• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy practice

• Experience in utilization review, acute care, or critical care settings preferred

• Proficient in medication administration techniques and aseptic technique

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology

• Familiarity with utilization management principles and practices

• Completion of a pharmacy residency program is highly desirable

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient service

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management

• Knowledge of insurance billing processes and reimbursement procedures
