Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Corporate Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team! Allient Inc. is a global publicly traded company with over 2200 employees at 26 locations in 11 countries. The Corporate Trade Compliance Specialist will report to and receive direction from the Corporate Trade Compliance Manager and ensure employees of Allient Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Allient”) comply with U.S. export control laws, including but not limited to, the Arms Export Control Act (“AECA”), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”), and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). This individual will provide export and import compliance support to Allient employees, manage and maintain export licenses and authorizations, ensure all recordkeeping requirements are fulfilled, and enforce internal policies and processes. Responsibilities:

  • Provide general export and import support to internal employees.
  • Maintain records in accordance with internal policy and U.S. export control laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Management of export licenses and authorizations, including documenting use, maintaining records, and identifying amendment, replacement, and renewal needs.
  • Enforce and assist employees with internal Trade Compliance policies and processes.
  • Assist with determination of export and import classifications.
  • Provide support to Corporate Trade Compliance manager, as needed, with trade compliance improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Additional responsibilities assigned by the Corporate Trade Compliance manager, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in or supporting a manufacturing or customs brokerage organization, with a minimum of 2 years in import/export compliance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of U.S. export/import regulations required.
  • Experience with identifying and assigning export and import classifications highly desired.
  • Experience with submission of export license applications highly desired.
  • Experience using SharePoint, MS 365, SNAP-R, AES Direct, DECCS, and Visual Compliance is desired.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Travel Required: Low
