Position Overview: The TIG Pipe Welder - Spools will be a key contributor to our fabrication team, responsible for welding and assembling piping spools using TIG welding techniques. This role demands a high level of skill, precision, and the ability to pass a 6G welding test, demonstrating proficiency in welding pipes in various positions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Welding Operations:

   • Perform TIG welding on piping spools, ensuring the highest quality standards in accordance with project specifications.
   • Weld pipes in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead, as required by the 6G test.

2. Spool Fabrication:

   • Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and weld symbols to accurately fabricate piping spools.
   • Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of pipes before welding.

3. 6G Welding Test:

   • Successfully pass a 6G welding test, demonstrating proficiency in welding pipes at a 45-degree angle in both the vertical and horizontal positions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a TIG Pipe Welder, specializing in spool fabrication.
• Ability to pass a 6G welding test.
• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, with a focus on precision and high-quality welds.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret weld symbols and isometric drawings.
• Knowledge of various metals and alloys commonly used in piping systems.
