We are seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team in Shelburne, where our school director carries more than 16 years of leadership experience and is a trusted and dedicated mentor.

A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:

• Eight-hour shift
• Following and maintaining all state mandated COVID precautions and policies for early learning centers.
• Designated one-hour break per shift.
• Following a set schedule that helps children establish healthy eating, sleeping, and bathroom routines.
• Working in close contact with your co-teacher and school colleagues.
• Implementing and evolving the Heartworks philosophy of teaching.

• Demonstrate kindness and respect for self, others, and our community at-large.
• Skilled in play-based learning approaches and social-emotional education.
• Deliver required paperwork and completed lesson plans on time.

• Adhere to all VT Public Health and Child Care Regulations.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals’ course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger is preferred.
• Authorize state-required background check.
• Act as mandated reporter, both on and off campus.
• Help ensure classroom environments adhere to NAEYC’s Anti-Bias Early Education.
• Ability to stand, move, run, and play for the majority of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds multiple times a day.
