What you will be doing:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control person to join our team, with a unique focus on liquidation for the first six months of your tenure. In this specialized role, you will serve as the Liquidation Specialist, taking charge of auctions, yard sales, and managing online sales on eBay and various social media sites to efficiently liquidate unnecessary inventory. Following this initial period, your responsibilities will seamlessly transition to encompass the core duties of an Inventory Control specialist. You will be responsible for processing shipments, inspecting and unloading freight, managing inventory transfers, and ensuring an organized and efficient supply chain. Inside our facility, your meticulous approach will maintain an orderly inventory, facilitating easy accessibility and fulfillment of requests for various jobs or projects. Additionally, occasional deliveries will be part of your responsibilities to ensure timely inventory delivery.
You will be an essential part of our inventory team, efficiently handling daily receiving for jobs, sales orders, demos, service, and inventory to maintain accurate records. Collaborating with the purchasing team, you will address discrepancies in received material and coordinate with the Asset Manager to ensure proper documentation. Your keen eye for detail will be evident in precise scanning and processing of job material transfers for accurate job delivery reports. As a reliable team player, you will support quarterly warehouse and room inventories, maintain cleanliness in work areas, and provide backup assistance to others as needed. Drug Testing: Ford is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and, therefore, all employees are subject to drug testing. Moreover, pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and/or post-accident drug testing may be conducted in accordance with company policy and all applicable laws to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. All applicants for this position tentatively selected for employment at Ford are subject to pre-employment drug testing and a final offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test result.
Physical Requirements: The position involves working in a normal warehouse environment with exposure to varying weather conditions, both hot and cold, as well as loud noise levels. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to walk for most of the work time and handle tasks that entail pushing/pulling items weighing up to 100 pounds and lifting/carrying items up to 40 pounds. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility by bending, crouching, twisting, and lifting from the floor, while also being able to reach above their heads and use their abdominal and lower back muscles without experiencing fatigue. Climbing ladders is necessary, and the job demands good manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, and the ability to quickly move arms and legs. Excellent stamina is required to meet the demands of the job, making physical fitness a vital aspect of successful performance.
