Job description
A Signal Advanced Officer provides functional leadership to Signal’s Community Based Security Officers through the development and implementation of policies and practices essential to the effective management of day-to-day operations. Basic duties include conducting training, covering shifts, and overall accountability. All duties listed below are minimum requirements, additional site-specific duties may be required.
Soft Skills:
Visioning: Understanding the big picture and requirements necessary to deliver services that reflect company values, goals, and purpose. Can you exhibit core values of Signal, creating peace of mind for our clients and explain those values to the Officers?
Strategic Planning: Effective engagement, communication, planning & execution of daily patrol responsibilities while meeting established deadlines. Can you effectively adopt and communicate changes in regulations and company policy as well as train team members to efficiently complete their job responsibilities?
Financial Acumen: Understanding company measurements while executing the necessary behaviors to drive performance.
Team Development: Communicate with Team Members and Management effectively and in a timely manner, receiving and relaying feedback and executing follow up as needed. Can you create an environment of openness, trust and respect while coaching and developing Officer’s performance?
Project Management: Complete understanding and execution of daily tasks and efficiently delivering services that meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
Coach and monitor Officer’s individual and group performance on tour completion and report writing.
Be an example to your team.
Conducts daily huddles, spot checks with officers in their department, providing feedback and recognition as needed.
Promptly report any Client specific information to the Supervisor.
Communicating needs and issues to their Supervisor about inventory or equipment maintenance.
Participating in a performance review during recommended time frames with the Coordinator to enhance the Officer Brand Experience.
Making sure checkpoints and tours are functioning correctly on sites.
Responsible for recommending to their Supervisor disciplinary action against personnel in violation of the Signal SOP. Furthermore, providing positive recognition for personnel going above and beyond the Signal expectations.
