We have a Supervisor opportunity available in our Finance Division. This person will perform highly advanced (senior-level) complex financial analysis and accounting work under minimal supervision of the Investment Accounting Manager with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

§ Oversee quarterly and annual reconciliations of Alternative Investments from master custodian to partnerships’ financial statements, Private I Financial solutions, PeopleSoft general ledger and Eagle STAR investment accounting system.
§ Oversee the daily and monthly reconciliation of the net asset valuation between the Master custodian and the Subsidiary ledger.
§ Collect, track and review audited financial statements and completes valuation checkpoints for audit purposes.
§ Oversee preparation of the annual Investment Summary for the Board of Trustees and Investment Advisor Committee.
§ Perform carried interest calculations and annual reviews of a “heat map” process to identify the carried interest amounts for high risk funds.
§ Oversee the Investment Accounting and Operations staff in researching errors on the set up of security master reference in the Eagle STAR investment accounting system.
§ Analyze functional requirements and develop procedures and controls for implementation and improvements to the Eagle STAR investment accounting system, evaluation of request for proposal of the Custodian bank contract, and other agency projects.
§ Assist in planning and implementing Eagle STAR investment accounting system upgrades.
§ Assist in planning for the annual audit and the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
§ Prepare reports and assist with the technical and compliance changes for regulatory requirements.
§ Serves as back-up to the Investment Accounting and Cash Processing Supervisor.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:

1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-by-year basis.

2) Seven (7) years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in financial analysis or accounting, including experience in automated accounting systems and financial reporting. Attainment of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters of Public Administration (MPA) will substitute for 2 years of the experience.

3) Three (3) years of experience training, overseeing, managing, supervising and/or leading others in projects, divisional tasks, and/or team objectives.

4) Experience in private equity, direct real estate, and derivatives accounting, account reconciliation, unitization, and writing procedures.
