What You Will Do:

The Business Office Assistant works under the Business Office Manager in the operation and management of the communitys business office and financial operations in accordance with the policies and all applicable federal/ state/ local laws and regulations. Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists with the functions of the business office including assisting with, billing accounts receivable and payable processing, as necessary.
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints.
  • Receive invoices and receipts from employees and confirm proper coding prior to entering into an accounting system.
  • Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist as necessary during business hours.
  • Effectively communicate with the residents, associates and resident sponsor(s).
  • Entering Resident Charges
  • Maintain Homeowner Insurance Files
  • Assist BOM in maintaining Employee Files
  • Participate in Staff activities designed to develop teamwork.
  • Provide support and back up to the BOM

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • The position falls under the direct supervision of the Business Office Manager but is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment. The position is not required to supervise or direct other associates.

Why You Are Qualified:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Health Care, Business Administration, or a health-related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience preferably in the senior living, health care, or hospitality industries.
  • Computers skills in MS Office (Excel required)
  • On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation.
