Ben Dinkins Landscape Design is Hiring a Landscape Architect - Revit, Land FX and AutoCAD Near Jacksonville, FL

We are seeking a Technical Design Associate to join our team. Ben Dinkins Landscape Design is a high-end, residential landscape design/build firm that has been practicing in the Jacksonville Beaches area for the past 30 years. Over the past few years it has transformed from a one-man operation to a 7 member team. Our firm has enjoyed wild success during these past few years designing creative, bold and beautiful gardens, and oceanfront landscapes. We are also diversifying into commercial projects including an iconic, local oceanside resort.

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design revisions, specifications, and progress reports.
  • Design Development: Translate conceptual ideas into detailed design plans, including hand drawings, technical drawings and specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of design concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Project Oversight:Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring strict adherence to design specification and quality standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • Design Creation:Design and create detailed hardscape plans encompassing hardscape elements.

Utilize computer software ro illustrate design concepts, with proficiency in CAD software and/or Land F/X.Generate base plans, hardscape plans, and construction details.

  • Team Collaboration:Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.Provide ongoing support tot the design assistant team.Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on design projects.Assist senior designers and designers in producing design assets.

  • Technical Proficiency:Interpret land surveys and site plans with precision.

Demonstrate proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including the creation of base plans, hardscape plans, landscape plans, and construction details.

  • Regulatory Compliance:Ensure designs comply with local building codes and regulations related to landscaping projects.
  • Design Documentation:Prepare design documents to specified standards, including 2D drawings.

Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints to contribute to the design process.

  • Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in building methods.

Actively seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
