Job Summary:
We are seeking someone to be an onsite vendor at a luxury retailer, you will be working with the curation team and maintenance team to maintain a visual standard of excellence. You will be responsible for the cultivation and maintenance of plants, trees, and shrubs in various settings such as conservatory gardens, landscapes, and high-end retail spaces. Your expertise and skills will contribute to the overall beauty and health of the outdoor and indoor spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Plant and maintain a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and pruning
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out horticultural tasks
- Irrigate plants to ensure proper hydration
- Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases
- Assist in the design and implementation of landscape projects
- Conduct research on plant care techniques and implement best practices
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced horticultural staff
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and practices
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for landscaping tasks
- Experience with greenhouse operations and plant propagation
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques such as mowing, trimming, and pruning
- Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively
- Knowledge of plant pests and diseases identification and treatment methods
- Understanding of soil composition and fertilization techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
