Job Overview:

Jackson's Greenhouse in North Topeka is looking for a reliable, motivated, and independent person with a passion for plants, a love of people, and an affinity for cats. The ideal "Jackson's" candidate will enjoy educating people and take pride in a well-done job. This position will be assigned mainly to the nursery department but will also be responsible for small landscape projects, including planting trees and shrubs. Knowledge of forklift and skid steer operation is preferred but optional.

Duties:

- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- Irrigate lawns, plants, and trees as needed
- Conduct garden bed maintenance and planting
- Operate mechanical equipment for landscaping purposes
- Operate machinery for loading and unloading of customers and shipments.

Skills:

- Basic knowledge of nursery stock. Proficiency in the planting of trees and shrubs.
- Mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping and material handling equipment.

Pay: $11.50 - $16.50 per hour
