PSECU, a high tech progressive financial institution with more than $8 billion in assets, is seeking a Director of Commerical Banking Services. The Commercial Director is responsible for the leadership and effectiveness of PSECU’s commercial real estate and Small Business Lending operations. This position is responsible for expanding the credit unions Small Business portfolio and stand up a new Commercial real Estate practice, while maintaining the highest standards of risk management and regulatory compliance.Requires a strategic leader with a profound understanding of the real estate market, small business market, risk assessment, and financial regulations.

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

This position will be a hybrid model of both in person and remote with the minimum onsite expectation of 40%, or as needed.

Minimum Starting Salary: $131,850 /yr

Candidate must be bondable and credit worthy.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:

1. Develop and implement strategies to grow PSECU’s commercial real estate and business loan portfolio.
2. Oversee the origination, structuring, underwriting, closing, and servicing of commercial real estate and small business loans.
3. Lead market analysis to identify new lending opportunities and emerging market trends.
4. Collaborate with risk management teams to ensure compliance with Regulatory standards and eternal risk policies.
5. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, real estate developers, brokers, CUSOs and other industry stakeholders.
6. Provide mentorship and leadership to the CRE and Small business team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
7. Manage the portfolio's performance, including monitoring credit quality in portfolio risk.
8. Participate in senior management meetings, contributing to broader Credit Union, Strategy and Policy making.
9. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 

• 10 years of experience in commercial real estate and Small business lending, with a proven track record in the leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of small business, real estate markets, financial analysis, long structuring, risk management and servicing.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performance team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with clients and stake holders.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the financial and real estate sectors.
• Demonstrate ability to make sound decisions in complex and fast paced environments.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
