Role: SAP Project Manager (5312)

For this particular role, we really want candidates local to Chestnut Ridge, NY (30 miles North of New York City) as that is where this role will be based out of. So, ideally we find local candidates or candidates willing to relocate, and if we can't, we find candidates willing to travel.

Client wants to limit travel expenses so candidates that are willing to relocate or are local will be considered first.

Client's preference is to be on-site 4 days per week each week, but if nobody is available they would want them travelling at least every other week so a short commute preferred.

For this particular role, we want someone that has an SAP functional background, ideally having been a solution architect in the past. We need someone with that strong SAP background that can help the team resolve issues, assign the appropriate person to tasks, and make sure the team is moving in the right direction in regards to the SAP project and solution. This is a senior position.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to assist our client in an S/4 HANA global rollout.

The ideal candidate will be somone who has managed multiple implementations including multiple multi-site projects in S/4.

Ability to work directly with the business as well as the IT team.

The goal of the role is to provide project leadership for both the Business Project Manager (who is currently also committed to another role on the project) and the SAP Project Manager (who can manage the SAP team).

As this is approximately 5 manufacturing sites and 23 total sites in 13 countries experience managing multi-country, multi-site projects is required.

Our customer is having a cross functional workshop for the project for all sites in Chestnut Ridge NY, starting at 8:30 am Monday June 10th to Thursday June 13th.

We would really like to have the project manager at that workshop, and ideally available for at least 1 week prior for handover so they are not going into the workshop without having seen anything related to the project.

Aerospace and defense experience is preferred, but not necessary
