Software developers at RDG/ Beacon HCI develop a mixture of cloud-based software, APIs, web services and plugins to meet our client’s and internal user’s needs. We typically work independently on individual projects but assist one another in an agile team environment. We work toward the common goal of implementing customer and internal user feature requests as well as resolve bug reports on a variety of platforms, technologies, and programming languages.

Position Responsibilities:

• Debug and resolve application issues reported directly by our users
• Receive feedback and implement improvements from testing team and peer review
• Design, code, test and enhance existing software solutions
• Help define and build new features based on our software roadmap derived from user requests and feedback
• Participate in functional, integration, and regression test development

Background and Requirements:

• A passion for coding and building complex web applications
• Proficient in numerous front-end and back-end languages
• Experience with the 3 or more of the following programming platforms & languages (including but not limited to): .Net C# or VB.NET, JavaScript, HTML.
• Experience reading and writing complex SQL queries/scripts, our preference is work withing Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of ASP MVC 5 framework and Twitter frontend Bootstrap (4,5) and jQuery.
• Code maintenance using Git (knowledge of GitHub, Bitbucket, others)
• Front-end web development experience utilizing HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, & CSS
• Experience working on teams with hands-on software development
• Experience with working inside cloud computing environment, mainly Microsoft Azure (Azure App services, Azure SQL server, Azure Blob storage, …)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, great attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and understand a wide variety of technical challenges to be solved
• Desire to collaborate and help design and implement complex features to completion

How will you contribute to RDG/Beacon HCI:

• Work on any part of the stack in our web based application
• Deploy quickly to production using automated Microsoft Azure Devops
• Work on an agile development team using Jira
• Work with other designers, programmers, and QA co-workers to bring prototypes to life
