Production Team Lead - Fiber Department

Reports to: Fiber Supervisor

Location: Battle Creek, MI

$20-$24/hour based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to set up/operate blend line, DOA air lay, oven, slitting machines, picker, cutting machine, roll winder, sizing/spray system, powder coater, and all opening equipment on the line
• Ability to fill out production/downtime reports and manning reports, HBH boards and direct proper procedures for 1hr PM of line
• Must have good understanding of OEE and of the Lock Out Tag Out procedure and ensure it is being followed
• Ability to check for production schedule, proper manning, and for proper fiber blend set up & review all QPRs
• Meeting with previous shift line leaders to review any issues that they may have with the equipment and raw materials
• Assist supervisor to ensure equipment/machines ready for operation & ensure all equipment is running at correct settings
• Assign and direct all line operators to maximize productivity and insure that production standards are met
• Manage changeovers and ensure its done within the required time following the proper sequence
• Communicate any quality issues with previous shift, produce products to required specs, check for proper fiber blend set up, and review of all QPR’s

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to perform work responsibilities safety and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to obtain forklift license and complete Confined Space Training, and LOTO Training
