HALL Rutherford is open 7 days a week offering experiences by appointment daily. We are looking for someone with midweek and evening availability. The HALL Back -Staff & Hospitality Support is responsible for set up and break down of sit down tastings and operational needs of the winery. Tasks include setting up and breaking down glassware settings, food pairings, and attending to general cleanliness of the facility. Lifting is required for equipment and boxes of wines. Administrative duties and knowledge of computer systems for entering data to support the wine educators. This person must be a friendly team player, attentive to details, responsible and capable of working in an independent environment.

Follow the directions of the HALL Managers and Wine Educators to set-up, service and tear down for daily tours.

Facilities

• Cleaning prior to, during and following tours (includes kitchens, restrooms, outdoor seating areas, walkways, and offices.)
• Wash and polish glassware and dishes.
• Ensuring sufficient supplies (glasses, wines, packaging, etc.) are in place.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order. Identify any equipment that needs to be cleaned, repaired or replaced.
• Inventory accountability and organization of wine in cellar and cave.
• Monthly inventory counts and maintain correct par levels on all wines.
• Assist Wine Educators with various tasks.
• Use of personal vehicle to run occasional errands (mileage reimbursed).
• Ensure the safety of all employees and guests.

Guest Experiences

• Welcome guests, explain our offerings, pour wines, and answer questions.
• Answer phone calls and take tour reservations as needed. ‘
• Updating and printing of daily welcome cards, order forms and collateral.

Hospitality Support

• Assist with data entry, including but not limited to, sales orders, new membership additions, and tracking guest visits.
• Become proficient in the winery operating systems (Revel, Salesforce, Magento, Ship Compliant, Cellar Pass)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old in order to serve alcohol.
• Previous experience in hospitality service preferably in a winery setting or restaurant.
• Must agree to participate in random drug testing as required. HALL maintains a drug-free work environment.
• Must be willing to go through background check.

Physical requirements:

Requires continuous standing and carrying 50 lbs.; occasional climbing, stooping, twisting and fine manipulation; intermittent bending.

Hours & days required:

On Call - looking for mid-week and evening availability. Hours will vary. Flexibility is required. There will be some evening events.

Attendance requirements:

Excellent attendance is required with flexibility to work the hours as determined by business needs.
