ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Balance the daily check clearing files to ensure that all files have been received and processed from the Federal Reserve
• Process and prepare for return all rejected check entries; balance and complete the returns by creating the return file in the ISCheck System
• Review checks in the SQN software for signature, encoding errors and altered or fraudulent items; contact Branch or customer to verify item
• Process any relevant adjustments to customer accounts and to the Federal Reserve through the proper channels; complete any adjustments that are received from foreign banks
• Review stop payments to make sure they have been processed accurately; continue to monitor for customers’ signature
• Maintain a tracking system for stop payments and checks to be paid on new accounts
• Provide check clearing support for internal and external customers; work within the department and with the Federal Reserve to resolve issues and inquiries
• Provide an excellent customer experience to anyone calling the Account Servicing Department
• Cross train and assist with other Account Servicing functions as workload allows
• Cross sell products and services whenever possible

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1-3 years of banking experience preferred; proficient with DNA
• Strong knowledge of Banks products and services, as well as policies and procedures
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines under variable conditions
• Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions independently
• Ability to analyze and provide solutions when problems arise
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
