About Us:

Clear Lake Presbyterian Church is vibrant congregation of over 1,000 members, dedicated to “learning to follow Jesus and helping others do the same.” In addition to two main worship services on Sunday morning, we offer an informal Sunday afternoon worship service. This small, but growing, community of afternoon worshippers is diverse in age and background. The service attracts those who have scheduling conflicts or a preference for a smaller, more intimate worship atmosphere.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Worship Leader for our afternoon worship service. This person will draw from a breadth of contemporary worship music with a mix of classic hymns to inspire heartfelt praise and point people to Jesus.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the preaching pastor, under the supervision of the Dir. of Music and Worship, to select 3-4 songs weekly for the 60-minute 4:30pm worship service.

2. Lead participants in musical worship on solo instrument (guitar or piano).

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Experience leading group singing in a church setting.

2. Strong singing voice.

3. Proficiency on solo instrument suitable for worship-song leading (such as guitar or piano)

4. Broad familiarity with contemporary worship music and church hymns.

5. A team player with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work and interact with various staff, volunteers, and church members.

6. Personal faith in Jesus Christ.

FTE: 0.25 (5-10 hours/week)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $175.00 per week

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
