We are seeking a passionate facilitator who is eager to build collaborative relationships with staff and families in order to best serve our students. Position Objective:The person in this role is responsible for providing support to the teachers, parents/guardians, and students with a specific responsibility and focus on assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of students with suspected disabilities. The primary role within this position is to conduct evaluations, participate in Team meetings, be an active participant in our Building Based Support Teams and provide creative and thoughtful recommendations to aid in student success. The FLRSD is seeking a school psychologist who is caring, empathetic, compassionate, and committed to each student's success, while also demonstrating a proficient understanding of compliance with the DESE standards.Responsibilities:Administer psychological assessments, interpret data, write reports and make recommendations to enhance students educational experienceInterpret outside evaluationsAttend evaluation meetings as assignedCollaborate with Building Based Support Teams, Teachers, Counselors and AdministratorsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Massachusetts Certification in appropriate area: School PsychologyExperience preferred, but not requiredSOCIAL/CIVIC EXPECTATIONS:Freetown-Lakeville students and staff will: practice responsible citizenship; respect self and others; accept responsibility; and work cooperatively.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Alternatives to desired qualifications may be consideredStrong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as effective problem solving skillsAbility to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, as well as the ability to be flexible and organized in a fast paced work environmentStrong desire and ability to work within a passionate and dedicated team environment.REPORTS TO: School Principal and Director of Student ServicesSALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District Educators’ Association contract.
