Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Cybersecurity Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the cybersecurity landscape of a major technology initiative. As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise to enhance system security, mitigate risks, and guide the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures. Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity, providing guidance and strategic insights to ensure comprehensive protection of IT assets.
• Lead the design and implementation of security solutions to enhance infrastructure resilience against emerging threats.
• Conduct thorough assessments of current security measures and recommend enhancements based on best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate cybersecurity considerations during the development and deployment phases.
• Drive the adoption of security tools and protocols, ensuring compatibility with agile methodologies.
• Engage with stakeholders to develop security frameworks and policies tailored to project needs.
• Oversee and manage security operations, including incident response planning and execution.
• Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders, enhancing their cybersecurity awareness and competencies.
• Lead the evaluation and integration of new security technologies and improvements.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in security systems design and analysis.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing security solutions in complex IT environments.
• Certifications in CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor).
• Deep understanding of network architecture, encryption technologies, and secure coding practices.
• Expertise in managing cybersecurity initiatives within an agile project framework.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex security challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical details to a non-technical audience.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and security standards relevant to IT operations and government contracts.
