Lutheran Social Service of MN is Hiring a Quality Specialist Near Saint Paul, MN

Lutheran Social Service MN
is a dynamic social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults and military veterans. The ability to office from home is required for this position.
The primary responsibilities for this position include:
Support the vision and quality standards for Disability Residential Services (DRS): Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), Personal Support Services (PSS), which includes, but is not limited to: Specialized Community Supports, Unit-Based Services, Host Homes, and the Altair ACO
Support PSS to meet CQL accreditation standards
Support the implementation of best practice quality standards that lead to exceptional service to people supported
Provide coaching, engagement, and training initiatives to teams on required best practices and compliance initiatives
Manage and maintain quality databases to monitor and track line of service quality and compliance practices
Job Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications of a designated manager.
2 years of experience in training, supervisory or managerial capacity is required
Experience training groups of people
Training in supervisory skills, team building, and leadership skills
Inter-rated interviewer with CQL or internally (required to obtain after hire)
Ability to observe, listen and respond with dignity and respect
Comfortable speaking in large groups
Ability to accept/follow through with the direction
The creative team member who can suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service
Ability to exhibit patience, self-control, flexibility, and to recognize boundaries
A driver's license is required
Reliable and insured personal vehicle required
Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance is required
Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required
The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
