We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Security Officer to join our team in Lansing, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
- Investigate and report any suspicious behavior or incidents
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a security officer or similar position
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Strong observation and surveillance skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
