Clear Channel Outdoor Job Summary: The Senior Corporate Counsel – Real Estate and Operations performs complex legal work including providing legal advice, opinions and recommendations and day-to-day transactional legal work with focus on real estate and operations issues, as well as acquisitions and dispositions of assets and real property interests. This role also provides general legal advice for domestic markets of the Company. Job Responsibilities Provides legal advice to multiple markets on day-to-day real estate and operational issues, acquisitions, and dispositions, including leasing, landlord – tenant issues, land use, zoning and development, entitlements, policy issues, contracts, and other general matters. Performs complex legal research and analysis involving the interpretation of municipal, state, and federal laws applicable to the Out of Home industry. Drafts, reviews, and interprets various legal documents relating to the Company’s real estate operations including leases and related documents, development, settlement and relocation agreements, purchase and sale agreements, easement agreements, resolutions, releases, deeds, and other legal documents as required. Manages outside counsel. Attends conferences, seminars, and continuing legal education as appropriate. Other duties and projects as assigned. Job Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admitted to the bar in good standing in at least one jurisdiction. Work Experience Minimum 10 years’ experience as an attorney, specializing in real estate and acquisitions and dispositions, in addition to general corporate advice. Out of Home industry experience or experience in land use within an industry that utilizes special permits (e.g., Oil, Gas, Wireless, Cellular) preferred. Skills Must have working knowledge of Windows operating system and be proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Must have ability to learn and use company system(s). Functional/Technical Skills – Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment. Must have working knowledge of laws and procedures pertaining to land use, zoning, permitting, administrative law, and code enforcement. Ability to interpret interplay between Municipal, Local, State and Federal laws, ordinances, statutes, and court decisions.
